Episode 04: Optimal forks and a Truthicide Investigation
Summary:
We start with an overview of optimal networks and look at few general results including when braiding versus directed networks arise, networks for the Monge problem, and leaves. We derive Murray's Law, using a simple optimality argument to find a splendid cube law for optimal branching, and inspect what happens with a Tokunaga structure. Bonk-bonk. We open our investigation into the Church of Quarterology.
